Theology Baiting

Not that I do this often, but earlier this evening I wandered over to Peter's movie blog and I came across this statement; "Unfortunately the filmmakers chose to cast Carrie Underwood to have the preachy role, and she was not meant to act". I think it's all fine and dandy that Peter thinks anyone actually cares what he thinks of movies, but for him to purposely bait you all by throwing around terms like "not meant to" is just low. Of course Carrie Underwood was meant to act, if she wasn't then she wouldn't have. I think it would have been better for Peter to say; "I hope Carrie Underwood is not meant to act ever again". Although immediately, alarms start going off in my mind, and I wonder if perhaps Carrie Underwood's acting debacle might just be the first step in the plan for her to be a great actress one day. Maybe she'll be the next Meryl Streep, only not so blatantly the things that Meryl Streep is and is not. She could be like a Meryl Streep who you actually want to watch. Now I'm not trying to say anything bad about Meryl Streep; not everyone was meant to like her.

We're above being drawn in by Peter's obvious attempts. However, what's that you're implying about Meryl?
